Photography.
I initially started seriously getting into photography in 1999; luckily securing a work experience placement in school at a local photography studio. There I learnt about studio work, black & white processing & started to look at what goes on behind the camera a lot more.

Shortly afterwards I enrolled on an Nd course taking on photography & media work at college. From there I went on to learn more about the artistic side of my interest in photography; from developing, manipulation, effects & lighting.
I took an interest in the more alternative side of photography, inspired by artists such as Cindy Sherman & Andy Warhol; I took a more creative approach to my images as well as starting to take my camera out to gigs for live photography. But with an ever developing interest in the multimedia side of things I decided to study Multimedia at university & as a result put the camera down for a few years.

At a chance opportunity a few years later in 2006 I decided to pull the camera out & start snapping at gigs again; with a photo pass in my hands I was snapping away at a My ruin gig in my favoured medium of black & white film & soon after I started to get back into my photography work whilst finishing my university degree.

Not long afterwards I started up my alternative fashion website & non-profit zine; Alt fashion as the result of my final project at university; through this I started to further my photography work. From photographing at events such as London edge for my own coverage I soon went on to work with models within the alternative scene in early 2007, an area that intrigued me from looking at the work of others such as Lithium picnic & Gothic image.

Since then I've been working with alternative models around the UK, photographing the more cute & macabre side of the alternative scene in my own playful, bright & colourful style; as well as working on the lighter side doing a few shoots for the likes of Alienskin clothing & Cute and evil.

I currently work on 36mm film; where I prefer to use the black & white medium, or on digital camera with my 6.2mp & 8mp model fujifilm cameras.
